Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they feel well. If a child gets sick at school, we call you to pick them up.
Drop-off and pickup
Children leave only with the adults you listed when you enrolled. We ask for ID at the door from anyone we don't know.
Late pickup
If you will be late, call or text the school. A teacher stays with your child until you arrive. What happens if it repeats is explained when you enroll.
Meals, snacks and allergies
Teachers set out a snack each morning, and threes and fours in the school day bring lunch from home. We ask families not to send nuts. If your child has allergies, tell us on the tour; we ask for the details privately once you enroll.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for school holidays, Thanksgiving week and the winter break. When a storm or bad weather closes the school, we text families before they leave home.
Screens and phones
Children don't use screens at school. We ask adults to keep phones put away in the rooms.
What to wear and bring
Clothes that can get muddy, closed shoes for the yard and a full change of clothes in the backpack. A hat helps on bright mornings.
Leaving the program
We ask for a month's written notice, in person or through the form.
